Documentation and other pre-requisites for COFEPRIS Advertising Permission –

As per Article 15 of the Federal Law of Administrative Procedure, the promoter of food supplements must declare their Legal person and must submit documents proving their legal person. This includes indicating the Single Registry of Accredited Persons (RUPA) number of legal representatives. The document must be signed by the interested party or their legal representative, or signed with an electronic signature for electronic procedures. To obtain the RUPA or electronic signature, applicants can submit the request to COFEPRIS for new signatures or renewals.

  • Original, duly filled application form

  • Original and two copies of proof of payment of fees

  • Advertising project (preferably in color), provided in duplicate

  • Documentation supporting statements made in advertising (original)

This is facilitated through coordination agreements between COFEPRIS and the respective entities.

  • Courier Service: Alternatively, you can send your application via courier to the COFEPRIS Integral Service Center. Ensure that you attach a prepaid courier guide for sending the response.
